Who we are

Lynn Darwich

Lynn is the Coordinator of the Coalition for Sexual and Bodily Rights in Muslim Societies (CSBR), an international solidarity network of over forty organizations and academic institutions across the Middle East, North Africa, South and Southeast Asia, who work together to challenge taboos around gender, sexuality, and reproductive rights in Muslim societies. She also currently serves as a member of the UNFPA Civil Society Advisory Panel.

Based in Beirut, Lebanon, Lynn has been involved in feminist grassroots organizing around gender and sexualities since 2008. She is a founding member of the Arab Youth Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, and a member of the Arab Youth Coalition for the Commission on Population and Development.

Currently finishing her Master’s degree in English Literature at the American University of Beirut, Lynn's research interests are in intersections between sex, gender, class, race and nation, as well as postcolonial and feminist theories and practices.
